Samsung Austin Semiconductor is committed to inspiring middle and high school students to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Our STEM Academy gives students access to education, training, and awareness of career paths in the semiconductor and manufacturing industry. During this 10-week internship, aspiring technicians are given the eye-opening experience of a career in the semiconductor and manufacturing industry. After completing a 2-week orientation, a mentor will guide you in gaining the knowledge and experience to help you determine if this is the right career path for you. At the end of your internship, you’ll put your communication skills to use when you present your accomplishments at a final intern showcase event. Select students will be invited to transition into our Fab Apprentice Program. If you meet the following qualifications, please have your CTE Coordinator contact our Workforce Development team at workforcedev@samsung.com

To qualify for HSGI, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a high school graduate

After successful completion of the HSGI program, selected students will be enrolled into the Fab Apprentice Program. While completing your Associate’s Degree, you’ll have the opportunity to work with us 2 days a week. As long as you maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, our company will pay for 100% of your tuition and books. Once you graduate, you will be eligible to apply for a full-time position as a technician with us.

Our competitive program offers college students an engaging, fast-paced, 3-month internship where you’ll be assigned a project in one of a variety of departments like analytics, automation, diffusion, etch, metals, photolithography, and more! Summer interns participate in tailored orientation and training sessions that give insight into the complete view of our business and culture. You’ll have opportunities to socialize with fellow interns and meet employees in a variety of departments. At the end of your internship, you’ll put your communication skills to use when you present your accomplishments at a final intern showcase event. Select students will be invited to transition into our College Orientation Recruitment Program (CORP).

To qualify for a College Summer Internship, you must:
