    One of Samsung’s business principles is achieving shared growth with partners. To strengthen the supply chain and for partners to see steady growth, Samsung operates partner collaboration programs that cover a range of areas including financial support and training.

    Offering financial support to build a sustainable supply chain Partners need financing and liquidity to continue to grow. To help partners invest in facilities and technology development and ensure they can make supplier payments, Samsung offers a wide range of financial support such as the Win-Win Fund and Payment Support Fund. Samsung also rewards high-performing partners with big incentives.

    Sharing Samsung’s expertise with partners It is not easy for small- and mid-sized companies that lack the resources and infrastructure to achieve innovation and enable employee growth to stay competitive in a fast-changing business environment. Samsung offers support by providing free training to partners through the Partner Collaboration Academy and Semiconductor-facilities Technology Academy (SfTA). To help partners gain competitive strength, Samsung also offers consulting on various areas from business management and manufacturing and quality control to breakthrough innovation.

    Samsung actively offers both material and human resources for partners to create safe workplaces. By helping partners build environmental safety capabilities, Samsung is actively helping build a stable supply chain that leads to a better future and a greener environment.

    Improving hazardous and chemical material management facilities To ensure partners manage a safe workplace, Samsung provides consulting on establishing policies for handling restricted material and improving control systems. Samsung also helps partners improve facilities from local exhaust systems and chemical storage facilities to chemical leak prevention facilities.

    Fostering autonomous environmental safety capabilities Samsung’s Environmental Safety Academy offers free training for partner employees to strengthen their environmental safety capabilities. In addition, Samsung provides support for partners to grow their competitive strength in different ways by offering safety and health consulting, helping build a culture of safety, and by providing financial support and consulting for partners to implement health and safety management systems.

    Samsung operates a responsible supply chain by continuously monitoring ethics and compliance risks and making improvements throughout the entire global supply chain, including second and third tier partners, in a wide range of areas from forced labor and labor rights to the environment and health and safety.

    Partner ethics and compliance risk management Samsung continues to monitor the entire supply chain, including second and third tier suppliers, to ensure all partners follow protocols and related guidelines as well as providing support for partners to adhere to local laws and regulations and to global standards in managing work environment risk.

    Transparent and responsible minerals management In order to minimize the negative impact on society and the environment, such as human rights violations and environmental destruction caused by mineral mining in conflict and high-risk areas, Samsung follows the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas.

  • Supplier code of conduct and guide

    We align our Supplier Code of Conduct with that of the RBA and share updates with our suppliers. We also provide a guide to help them comply with the Code and to put compliance management into practice.

  • Responsible minerals report

    In recent years, there are ongoing issues concerning minerals mined in Conflict-affected and High-risk areas, and in this regard, stakeholders require “Responsible sourcing” of companies. Among Samsung's products, a variety of components are used that include minerals such as tantalum, tin, tungsten, gold, and cobalt to ensure the characteristics of electronics. Therefore, we continue to make every effort to minimize the negative impacts on society and the environment, such as human rights violations, and environmental degradation in the mining process, and we would like to disclose our efforts through this report.
