The technology combines four pixels into one, allowing the GM5 to act as a large-pixel sensor and take in more light without increasing noise. In well-lit areas, the GM5 harnesses a remosaic algorithm to allow it to use all 48 million pixels to produce intricately detailed photographs.

Settings intelligently tailored to suit your shooting environment. With the Smart-ISO feature, the ISOCELL GM5 image sensor automatically selects the optimal ISO for your shot to ensure you capture picturesque images in all lighting environments. In bright environments, the sensor switches into low ISO mode to take clear pictures and prevent oversaturation. In low-lit settings, the sensor selects high ISO mode so that your pictures come out brighter with less noise.
Swift, precise autofocus
Capture blur-free action shots every time. With the ISOCELL GM5’s Super-PD autofocus, your smartphone camera can shoot clear photos of still or fast-moving objects at a moment’s notice. This feature is based on PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) technology, which compares the phase difference and reconciles them in much the same way as a pair of human eyes. With Super-PD autofocus, you can capture treasured moments quickly and in stunning quality.
