With the powerful AMD RDNA 2 architecture as a backbone and hardware ray tracing technology that simulates real-world light movement, the Xclipse GPU delivers realistic and immersive visuals when playing mobile games. The Exynos 2200 features an octa-core CPU built with tri-cluster architecture. Its array of cores includes one Arm Cortex-X2 core for powerful performance, three Cortex-A710 cores for optimal performance and four Cortex-A510 cores for power efficiency. All of the cores are based on the newest Armv9 architecture, which provides the foundation for Total Compute solutions. This diverse combination helps optimizing the user experience by delivering powerful performance and stability that is based on power efficiency.

The Exynos 2200 features AMIGO (advanced multi-IP governor) technology that monitors the statuses of main components like the CPU and GPU and adjusts settings to extend battery life. Rapid 5G connectivity
The 5G modem integrated into the Exynos 2200 supports both sub-6GHz and mmWave. It enables a maximum downlink speed of up to 10Gbps when in EN-DC mode, which utilizes both 4G and 5G connectivity. It is also the first modem in Exynos processor to supports 3GPP Rel. 16, which means it delivers much broader coverage and ultra-low latency compared to its predecessor.

The Exynos 2200’s NPU performance has been doubled when compared to its predecessor. This allows more calculations to be made in parallel, enhancing the overall AI related performance and experience on the smart phone. The NPU also offers greater precision with FP16 support and power-efficient INT8 and INT16.

The Exynos 2200’s advanced ISP (image signal processor) comes with twice the bandwidth to support resolutions of up to 200MP and zero shutter lag at 108MP. Plus, it can connect up to seven cameras and run four of them concurrently. With the help of AI engine, the ISP also provides tailored choice of color, white balance, exposure and dynamic range for each individual scene.

The MFC (Multi Format Codec) in the Exynos 2200 enables 8K video recording at 30fps. It is capable of decoding 4K videos at up to 240fps and 8K videos at up to 60fps. In addition, the MFC includes a power efficient AV1 decoder that helps to enable a longer playback time.

The Exynos 2200 features an embedded Secure Element that stores private cryptographic keys and serves as the processor’s root of trust (ROT) to offer a heightened degree of security for mobile devices. The solution also features inline encryption hardware for UFS and DRAM that has been reinforced to only share user data encryption safely within the secure domain.
