Samsung Semiconductor established a LCA methodology based on international standards for LCA and carbon emissions calculation, and completing third-party validation in December 2022. Building on these efforts, we developed an automated calculation system based on actual activity data, and third-party validation was completed in June 2024.
As a result, we have secured the reliability of both the LCA methodology and the product carbon footprint data calculated through it.
Moving forward, we plan to transparently and accurately disclose environmental data based on the verified LCA system and actively communicate with our customers and stakeholders.
