CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor)

  • mail
CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) A type of integrated circuit for digital circuits in a microprocessor or SRAM. CMOS is composed of a complementary circuit method, where the P-type metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) and the N-type metal-oxide-semiconductor transistor (NMOS) are combined. It offers a high degree of integration and uses little electrical energy. It is used in products like handheld calculators, electronic watches, small computers, and similar devices.
