Samsung Austin Semiconductor has been named a finalist in the American Heart Association Nation of Lifesavers Award category as part of the 2025 Greater Austin Business Awards.

The award recognizes businesses that are taking “bold, measurable action to turn bystanders into lifesavers.” As a finalist with five other companies, we are “building a culture of cardiac emergency preparedness.”

Every month, Samsung Austin Semiconductor’s Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability team hosts four sessions for CPR/AED and First Aid training that are all instructor-led. All employees are encouraged to sign-up for the class.

In the past decade, nearly 5,000 employees have gone through CPR training at our campuses.

In addition, for the 120-plus members of our Emergency Response Team, Samsung Austin Semiconductor offers (BLS CPR/AED), First Aid and Blood Born Pathogens training.

When Training Turns into Action

On April 18, 2023, Adriana Medina took the CPR course offered at Samsung Austin Semiconductor. The very next day, the life-saving skills she learned would be put into action.
