Samsung Austin Semiconductor's new core values: Adaptive Resilience, Bold Innovation, Customer Centricity, Unified Purpose, People Focus

As Samsung Austin Semiconductor gets ready to celebrate our 30th anniversary in early 2026, we're reflecting on our growth and what it means for our business and the thousands of employees who have contributed to our success.

In anticipation of our expansion in Central Texas, we recognized the need for values that resonate with our local operations. Last week, after months of collaboration and gathering feedback, we proudly introduced new core values for our organization during an in-person event attended by our employees.

"It was important to us that this not be a top-down decision by Human Resources leadership," explained David Gentry, senior director of Samsung Austin Semiconductor's People team. "Rather, that our own employees have a seat at the table to assess and inform these principles moving forward."

Samsung Austin Semiconductor's new core values:

  • Adaptive Resilience
  • Bold Innovation
  • Customer Centricity
  • Unified Purpose
  • People Focus

At the in-person event, we invited guests to share their insights on each value and how it relates to their respective industries.

  • Donnie Maib, director of Olympic sports athletic performance at The University of Texas at Austin, spoke about Adaptive Resilience and gave a few examples about Vince Young.
  • JJ Gottsch, CEO of the Austin Gamblers, a professional bull riding team in the Professional Bull Riders Team Series, talked about Bold Innovation.
  • John Perkins from Samsung's Foundry Sales division, explained how his role fits into Customer Centricity and the importance of providing services for our customer.
  • Pat Guzman-Weema, director of operations and compliance for OneStar Foundation, spoke about this summer's Fourth of July floods and highlighted how companies like Samsung, along with nonprofits and volunteers, contributed to recovery efforts.

Thank you to all our guest speakers for joining us and providing valuable perspectives on how our new values can be integrated into every part of our business.
