Developmental disabilities include autism and intellectual disabilities.
Despite the fact that people with developmental disabilities may be responsible and meticulousness in terms of their work, the unfortunate reality is that they may have limited job opportunities due to social perceptions.
To tackle this issue, Samsung Electronics established Stellar Forest, a subsidiary standard workplace for people with developmental disabilities, to create sustainable jobs for these people. Stellar Forest is a standard workplace for people with disabilities established with 100% investment by Samsung Electronics. Beginning with the confectionery manufacturing business, our plan is to provide stable jobs for people with developmental disabilities.
Cookies and birthday cards made by the staff at Stellar Forest are being provided to Samsung Electronics employees. Stellar Forest, which opened in March 2023, continuously discovers jobs and industries suitable for the characteristics of people with developmental disabilities and strives to create sustainable jobs. As part of these efforts, a new job category, P&P (Pop-up & Package), was introduced on October 10, 2024. Going forward, we plan to expand the range of job options and provide more stable employment opportunities.
