Lead Frame

A metal matrix which functions as the lead connecting a semiconductor chip with an outside circuit and a frame to fix a semiconductor package to a board. It is a key part in a semiconductor integrated circuit, and is connected to the chip by the lead. It delivers electric signals between the semiconductor chip and the matrix and acts as a frame to protect and support the chip from external humidity and shock.
