As the sun rose over Taylor, Texas on Saturday, Sept. 21, hundreds of riders geared up to pedal to raise money for the Texas Mamma Jamma Ride. The event raises money to support the Big Pink Bus which provides mobile mammograms to underserved communities in Central Texas.

With 28 riders on the Samsung Austin Semiconductor team, we had participants biking in the 70-mile route as well as virtual riders.

After months of fundraising, our team blew past our goal of $25,000 and crossed the finish line with $29,060 raised.

Our employee and breast cancer survivor, Bobbi Black, raised the most money in the Individual category with $9,837 raised.

"I am truly blown away by the continued support and generosity I've received from my friends and work family for the Texas Mamma Jamma fundraiser," says Black. "Raising awareness and support for early breast cancer detection is something that is near and dear to my heart as a breast cancer survivor. Early detection is crucial and key to saving lives!"

As the Platinum sponsor of the event, Samsung Austin Semiconductor is proud of our team and the volunteers who joined to help at one of the stops.

Black adds that Samsung Austin Semiconductor's sponsorship of the Texas Mamma Jamma Ride has bolstered fundraising efforts and inspired her personally. "Working for a company with such a generous giving culture is a privilege. With the company's 2:1 matching contributions to this cause, it significantly increased our ability to raise funds."

From the bravest survivors to those riding for a loved one, thank you to everyone for their drive and dedication to this event that brings people across the community together for a great cause.
