Samsung Austin Semiconductor employees outfit Manor ISD students for back to school

  • mail
Every summer, Samsung Austin Semiconductor hosts a supply drive benefiting Manor Independent School District students. Employees donated everything from notebooks to glue sticks! Along with actual supplies-with a dollar-to-dollar match-employees and Samsung Austin Semiconductor also raised $3,200 for the supply drive. "I am so excited for the new school year," Manor ISD Superintendent Dr. Andre D. Spencer said during the check presentation. "I want to thank Samsung Austin Semiconductor for all that they do for the Manor Independent School District." To help get the school supplies ready for the students, several of our college interns volunteered at Manor High School and stuffed 500 backpacks. The district handed out the backpacks at the school resource fair the week before school started. Since 2005, our partnership with Manor ISD has been incredibly fulfilling for Samsung Austin Semiconductor and beneficial for the school district. In the last 10 years, we’ve donated more than $1.8 million toward academic and non-profit philanthropic programs to the district.
