SoC (System on Chip)

  • mail
SoC (System on Chip) A technology-intensive semiconductor that contains the whole system on one chip. It is a technique in which a system composed of several devices with different functions are made into a single chip. The computing element (CPU), the memory device (DRAM, flash, etc.), the digital signal processor (DSP), and more central semiconductor elements are gathered onto one chip, making the chip a system of its own. In other words, it is a technique in which several semiconductor chips are gathered from the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) and made into one chip. When semiconductors of different functions are gathered into one chip, the space they take up is minimized, allowing miniaturization of products. It also poses other benefits like reducing the production cost compared to making several semiconductors separately.
