NFC (Near Field Communication)

  • mail
NFC (Near Field communication) A wireless communication technology for data exchange at a close range within 10cm. NFC is a type of RFID (electronic tag) technology. This non-contact, short range communication technology uses the 13.56 MHz frequency band. By bringing NFC-enabled devices or tags close to each other, information can be exchanged without having to configure the devices beforehand. The limited communication range means the technology is comparatively secure and inexpensive. NFCs are mainly used in transportation cards and electronic payments, but the technology is increasingly expanding to IT devices and household appliances.
