Stream and download at hyper-fast speed. The Exynos 980 integrates an advanced 5G modem so you can experience whole new level of speed with low latency and minimal lag. With support for 5G’s sub-6GHz, the Exynos 980 enables blazingly fast downlink speed of up to 2.55Gbps. The modem also supports E-UTRA-NR Dual Connectivity (EN-DC), which combines 5CC LTE and 5G connectivity, to maximize mobile downlink speed up to 3.55Gbps. In addition, it is a multi-mode modem that utilizes major networks from 2G to 4G LTE for reliable mobility anywhere.

Enjoy intelligence on the go. A powerful neural processing unit (NPU) and digital signal processor (DSP) are built into the Exynos 980 to deliver new levels of on-device artificial intelligence. It allows AI-powered tasks to be processed right on the device rather than sending personal information to the server for further processing, resulting in quicker response with better data privacy and security. The NPU and DSP add enhancements to smartphone applications such as secure user authentication, content filtering, mixed reality, intelligent camera, etc.

Intelligent pro-grade camera
Pro-grade camera is now packed with intelligence. Featuring the advanced image signal processor (ISP), the Exynos 980 supports up to five individual sensors and is able to process three sensors concurrently for fuller multi-camera experiences. It also supports ultra-high resolution up to 108Mp. Notably, the Exynos 980 with NPU detects scene or objects enabling the ISP to make optimal adjustments to white balance, exposure, hue, saturation, sharpness and more for professional results.
