Power IC A semiconductor device which converts and controls electrical power according to the system. The role of a power IC is to convert the power required by electronic devices to the levels required by each device. Power ICs convert between alternating and direct current, and also help stabilize the supply of electrical power to each device. Power ICs are used in power supply and power conversion units to save energy and help reduce the product size. Applications include household appliances, communications, PCs, mobile devices, and automobiles.
