To keep our supply chain strong and healthy, and to help our partners grow with us, Samsung operates partner collaboration programs that offer training and technology development support. We have also created funds to provide financial support for our partners to ensure liquidity.

In 2018, Samsung offered first-, second- and third-tier partners a total of KRW 833.9 billion in loans, KRW 863 billion in 2019 and KRW 973.6 billion in 2020.

In addition to the Win-Win Fund and Payment Support Fund, we also responded to the difficulties our partners faced following the COVID-19 outbreak. We acted swiftly and began offering financial support to our partners so they can respond to urgent supply deliveries. We also offer a range of services and programs that are based on the current needs of our partners, which range from business risk response to training.

    We have been able to offer no-interest loans with up to 2-year terms to our first-tier partners so they can make cash payments to second-tier partners within 30 days. In 2018, we raised an additional KRW 300 billion to create a total of KRW 800 billion to expand the loan coverage to second-tier partners, indirectly providing support to third-tier partners.

  • Payment Support Fund.
    Helping our partners pay their
    suppliers on time

    The Payment Support Fund offers no-interest loans to partners who need to make payments in cash or via the Win-Win payment system to their suppliers within 30 days. In 2011, we revised the repayment plan, going from 2 installments to 4, and since 2015, we have been using the Win-Win payment system to make payments to our small- and medium-sized partners. Then in 2017, we created a fund of KRW 500 billion and use that to provide support to our partners, allowing them to make cash payments to their own suppliers. Additionally, to help our small- and medium-sized partners further, we have been making our payments to them in cash since 2005.
