LED (Light Emitting Diode)

  • mail
LED (Light Emitting Diode) This is a compound semiconductor and an electrically-powered light emitting diode composed of Ga (Gallium), P (Phosphorus), and As (Arsenic). When forward current is applied in a semiconductor p-n junction, the electron and positive holes combine at the light junction, emitting light of a certain frequency that matches the band’s gap energy.
