Start with the visual experience. The Exynos 2200 comes with AMD RDNA 2 architecture based Xclipse GPU that supports hardware ray tracing technology. This simulates how light moves in the real world, making mobile game visuals incredibly realistic.
The Exynos 2200 supports an HDR10+ display, offering enhanced color, contrast and much more dynamic range. The high refresh rate of up to 144Hz enables smoother display transitions and better scrolling.
Most top tier games today require a powerful CPU to get the full experience. The Exynos 2200 uses an octa-core CPU built with tri-cluster architecture, including one Arm® Cortex®-X2, three Cortex-A710 cores, and four Cortex-A510 cores. This combination means the best available user experience for gamers, delivering exceptional performance, stability, and power efficiency.
Longer Game Play
A major feature of the Exynos 2200 is that it enables longer game play by using battery power more efficiently. Mobile gaming is often hampered by limited battery life, and every gamer knows the feeling of getting completely immersed in an experience only to have the device peter out.
The Exynos 2200 was built to maximize battery performance. It uses AMIGO technology (advanced multi-IP governor) to monitor how much power each component is using, automatically adjusting settings during play to extend battery life.
The Xclipse GPU supports variable rate shading (VRS), a technology that applies lower shading rates in areas where it will not impact the quality of visuals, thus reducing power consumption.
The Exynos 2200 is also built on a 4nm process, which helps to create a smaller and more efficient – yet more powerful – chip. You can play longer, have a smoother experience, and worry less about a dying battery prematurely ending your game.
Robust 5G Connectivity
In keeping with the mobile era, the Exynos 2200 has robust 5G connectivity. 5G is the future of mobile gaming, and these new networks will enable whole new kinds of gaming experiences. The Exynos 2200 supports both sub-6GHz and mmWave spectrums, and has download speeds of up to 10Gbps. But for those outside of the reach of 5G, the Exynos 2200’s integrated modem can also use 4G and all legacy networks. It supports the latest broadband standard 3GPP Rel.16 to deliver broader coverage, ultra-low latency, and a stable connection.
Not Just for Gamers
The Exynos 2200 is not just for gamers. Though it was designed with them in mind, the new processor supports creators of all kinds.
Its NPU (neural processing unit) performance is twice that of the prior Exynos, enabling more computations to be made simultaneously. The NPU also offers greater precision with FP16 support and power-efficient INT8 and INT16.
For photos, it can take images of up to 200 megapixels (MP) or capture lag-free images of up to 108MP. For video, the Multi Format Codec (MFC) – which contains diverse cutting-edge video codecs – enables high definition 8K video recording at 30 frames per second (fps).
With its enhanced NPU, the Exynos 2200 brings AI-accelerated camera experience to smartphones. The AI powered content-aware camera solution recognizes subjects and applies the appropriate camera setting to improve pictures.
Better Mobile Data Security
The Exynos 2200 also offers strong data security. It features an embedded Secure Element that stores private cryptographic keys and serves as the processor’s root of trust (ROT). It also features inline encryption hardware for UFS and DRAM that only shares user data encryption safely within the secure domain.
