Samsung Austin Semiconductor has once again earned the National Best Place for Working Parents® designation. The Best Place for Working Parents Designation highlights how Samsung Austin Semiconductor is implementing innovative practices that are helping today’s working parents provide for their families, and adapt and thrive at work during extraordinary times. The Best Place for Working Parents® assessment highlights only the top 10 research-backed policies proven to benefit working parents and businesses' bottom line. With more than 4,500 employees, Samsung Austin Semiconductor is committed to providing a healthy and thriving working environment. As of one’s hire date, we offer an array of leaves and backup care to support employees. Here are some of the ways we support our employees and their families:
  • Maternity leave: Moms receive eight weeks of 100% paid leave following the child’s birth
  • Parental leave: New parents (in addition to maternity leave for birth moms), receive eight weeks  of 100% paid bonding leave because of the birth of a child, adoption of a child, or placement of a child related to foster care
