ISOCELL

  • mail
ISOCELL A technology that innovates the conventional structure of the CMOS image sensor to overcome performance limitations. ISOCELL is a next-generation technology that modifies the sensor structure to make the most of light gathered by each pixel making up a CMOS image sensor. The name is a combination of ‘isolate’ and ‘cell’. An insulating barrier is formed between the pixels making up an image sensor, preventing the light that has entered the pixel from escaping. This minimizes interference that the light entering a pixel influences the adjacent pixels. Less interference makes for better color reproducibility of an image. ISOCELL image sensors are also capable of producing clearer and crisper images even in low light settings.
