Applications open for 2023 CORP engineers and summer internships

  • mail
College students interested in a career in a fast-paced industry using the most advanced technologies are encouraged to apply for Samsung Austin Semiconductor's College Orientation Recruitment Program (CORP) and paid summer internships. CORP is geared towards college seniors who will graduate with a BS or MS in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical) or STEM (Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry). CORP engineers get the opportunity to learn about semiconductor manufacturing from the ground level. New hires will participate in a multi-week orientation aimed to ease the transition between college and career. Over the course of the program, employees will rotate through multiple engineering departments before being assigned to a specific department. Applicants must be willing to work in Taylor and Austin. "It's been wonderful… being able to transition from college life to corporate life," Omer Sharif, 2022 CORP Engineer, said. "Samsung gave me the opportunity and I hope I can grow more from this." In 2022, Samsung Austin Semiconductor hired more than 200 CORP engineers—the most in our 26-year history. Over the summer , the CORP groups had opportunities to volunteer and mentor Taylor students. Paid Summer Internships While CORP is for college students who are about to graduate, there are also dozens of paid summer internships available for those who are eager to work on real-world projects and learn from knowledgeable mentors. The 11-week internship is open to students who are pursuing a BS or MS in a STEM-related field. The 2022 summer internship program welcomed 108 interns representing 33 schools from all over the country. Many of the students left the program with more insight into the industry and skills that will help them in their future career. "Being able to work with people across multiple departments and engage with other interns made up a small part of this memorable experience," University of Texas at Austin student Moinak Joddar said of his summer 2022 experience. "Throughout the course of this internship, I was able to experience life as an engineer at a semiconductor fabrication facility in and outside of the fab on both the process and equipment sides." College students who are interested in a paid summer internship with Samsung Austin Semiconductor should apply by Nov. 30. Click here to apply.
