Based on the tri-cluster architecture, the processor’s octa-core CPU consists of one Arm® Cortex®-A78 core optimized for peak performance, three Cortex-A78 cores for balanced processing, and four Cortex-A55 cores for efficiency. Optimized for new form factors, this powerful combination of cores offers the performance needed to master multitasking.

The Exynos 1080 places cinematic viewing experiences in the palm of your hand by combining support for both high refresh rates and HDR10+. The processor’s support for refresh rates of up to 144Hz in Full HD+ enables a highly smooth and interactive touch response. Compatibility with HDR10+, an advanced dynamic range technology, widens the range of what’s visible in content by dynamically optimizing brightness settings to enhance colors and contours in each scene.

Making smartphone cameras smarter

The Exynos 1080 makes it easy to capture incredible content. Each time you take a photo, the processor’s on-device AI instantly detects objects and scenery in the camera’s frame, and its image signal processor (ISP) optimizes settings to produce the best possible shot. That seamless intelligence, along with support for resolutions of up to 200MP and up to six individual camera sensors, allows the Exynos 1080 to capture sharp images of virtually any scene. Plus, with support for true 10-bit recording, you can even record your own lifelike HDR10+ videos.

Game, stream and stay connected for longer. The Exynos 1080’s outstanding power efficiency frees up more battery for the apps and features you use the most. The processor is able to maximize its low-power performance thanks to a highly advanced design and Samsung’s 5nm EUV FinFET process technology. The Exynos 1080 is the first product to be based on the 5nm process, which allows for the development of smaller, more power-efficient chips, and opens the door for smartphones to feature slimmer designs and unbelievable battery life.
