Section 6) understand that they are providing their information to Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (“Samsung” or “Sponsor”) and not to Instagram. The information provided by
Entrants will only be used in the event they are selected as a Contest winner.
CONTEST PERIOD: More Pixels, Epic Details (the “Contest”) starts at 9 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) / 14:00 BST on March 27, 2023, and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on April 2, 2023 / 05:00 BST
on April 3, 2023 (“Contest Period”).
ELIGIBILITY: Open to those who own or who have access to a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
device and are legal residents of either the United Kingdom or the United States of America, excluding the states of Arizona
Employees of Samsung, FleishmanHillard (“Administrator”), their respective affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, divisions, suppliers, distributors and advertising, promotional and
judging agencies (collectively, the “Sponsor and its Administrators”), and each of
their respective employees, shareholders, directors, officers, members, assigns and agents and their immediate family members
and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate or win.
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. However, a Samsung S23 Ultra device, internet access and a valid Instagram account
HOW TO ENTER: During the Contest Period, Entrants must:
Take a photo using the 200MP rear camera on the Galaxy S23 Ultra device,
Log onto their Instagram account (or create one for free),
Upload their photo onto their Instagram grid, tag @samsungsemiconductor and @samsunguk directly in the photo and use
all of the following promotional hashtags in their Instagram post:

Entrants must keep their profile on a public setting throughout the Contest Period and for a period of 3 weeks after
the end of the Contest Period in order to be contacted if they are selected as a provisional winner.
Entrants can also submit the photo via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Entrants who fully comply with Section 4 will be deemed to have gained an entry (“Entry”) into the Contest on the date of such
A maximum of one (1) Entry per person is permitted throughout the Contest Period. The person uploading the Entry will be
deemed the Entrant (the “Entrant”). No person may win more than 1 Prize (as defined
under Section 8).
SHORTLIST SELECTION: All valid Entries received during the Contest Period (subject
to moderation) will be independently judged by PromoVeritas Ltd. (“PromoVeritas”) within 3 working days from the close of the
Contest Period to select 70 shortlisted Entries based on the following criteria:
Originality (marks out of 10) – the photo highlights the power of ISOCELL
technology in capturing high-res images and visually shows the ‘epic details’ that the ISOCELL technology can capture.
The more details in the picture, the better.
Quality – the photo should be well composed in order to demonstrate the
high-res quality of images taken with the ISOCELL technology. The photo should enable the audience to experience,
realize and believe in the benefits of 200MP.
Impact/Wow factor – the photo should capture the subject in a way that is
visually stunning (‘epic’) and captures the attention of the public when displayed on the billboard, creating a ‘wow’
The shortlisted Entrants who complete the requirements outlined below (see Section 10 for details) will have their Entries
judged by a panel of judges, within nine (9) working days from the close of the Contest Period to select 20 winners based on
the same criteria. The 20 Entrants with the highest scores after panel judging phase will be deemed the winners.
PRIZE AND RETAIL VALUE: There will be a total of 20 winners. Each winner will have
their picture displayed on the billboard screen in London’s Piccadilly Circus on either 15 or 16 April, 2023 (“Prize”). Due to
the nature of the Prize, there is no retail value attributed to them.
FURTHER ENTRY AND PRIZE DETAILS AND CONDITIONS:
All Entries must be the sole, original work of the Entrants.
Entries can feature other individuals in the photo, but Entrants must obtain the necessary consent from any individual
featured before submitting their Entry.
Only valid Entries will be judged. Any Entry which does not fully meet the requirements of these T&Cs will be
Photos must not be manipulated to adjust the quality of the image or altered by adding in any additional elements or
features to the photo that were not originally in the shot when taken.
Each picture will be shown on the billboard once for a period of 7-10 seconds.
By entering the Contest, Entrants give their permission for their Entries to be used by the Sponsor without further
compensation, over and above the award of the Prize, for up to one (1) year for promotion purposes from the date of
Entry. Copyright will remain with the Entrant. However, by entering this Contest, each Entrant agrees to the Sponsor
publishing these Entries on its website and possibly further using on its website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or
other social media platforms. Each Entrant also agrees to Sponsor’s other possible promotional use in media of the
Sponsor’s choosing without any further payment, over and above the award of the Prize, for up to one (1) year from the
date of Entry but with appropriate credit given to the original Entrant, as deemed appropriate in Sponsor’s sole
discretion. Any Entry not in compliance with the above and which does not meet the requirements of these T&Cs will
By submitting an Entry, each Entrant grants to the Sponsor a non-revocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use the
copyright and other intellectual property rights vesting in their Entry for all purposes connected with this Contest,
including but not limited to display on the Piccadilly Circus Billboard and any other website of the Sponsor or its
affiliates, Sponsor or its affiliate-related social medial channels (including, but not limited to, YouTube,
Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, Weibo, and WeChat) or its agents/contractors choosing and use of the Entry, or
part(s) of the Entry, in marketing materials relating to this Contest for up to one (1) year from Entrant’s gain of
Entry under Section 4. Each Entrant also grants the Sponsor and its agents/contractors the right to moderate, modify
or remove any Entry if it is deemed unsuitable, in whole or in part, for display on the Piccadilly Circus Billboard,
the Contest website or in any materials relating to the Contest. Entrants hereby represent and warrant that they own
the image and have all rights necessary to grant the licence and rights provided for in this paragraph and that all
materials forming part of their Entry to this Contest, and any use of such materials by or on behalf of the Sponsor,
comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations and do not infringe or otherwise violate the intellectual
property or other rights of any third party.
The photograph submitted must not contain images which are offensive, obscene, sexual, derogatory, defamatory,
violent, abusive, harassing, threatening, objectionable including with respect to race, religion, origin or gender,
which could reflect negatively upon the name, reputation or goodwill of the Sponsor or any brand partner, or which is
otherwise unsuitable for publication; or anything that may infringe the rights of any third party or refer to any
third-party brand or reference any third-party names, and/or trademarks.
When taking the picture used for Entry, Entrants must ensure that they do not trespass on any private property and
have permission from any subjects that appear in the image.
Winners can attend the viewing of their Prize at their own expense. No travel or expenses will be provided to winners
by the Sponsor in order for them to attend the viewing of their Prize.
SHORTLIST NOTIFICATION: The 70 shortlisted Entrants (“Finalists”) will be contacted
via the Instagram account used to enter within one (1) business day of shortlist selection and will be asked to provide their
original 200MP photo to a promotional email address within 36 hours of shortlist notification. Reasonable efforts will be made
to contact the Finalists. Once eligibility has been confirmed, the 20 Finalists with the highest scores after the panel
judging phase will be confirmed as a winner.
If a Finalist does not respond to the initial contact within 36 hours
or provide their original 200MP photo, the Sponsor may disqualify that Entrant and award the Prize to a reserve winner
selected in the same manner. Reserve winners may have less time to respond.
WINNER NOTIFICATION: The 20 winners will receive an email to the email address used
to submit their original 200MP photo within one (1) working day of selection of the 20 winners, confirming the date and time
on which their Prize will be shown.
MODERATION: The Sponsor may reject any Entry which, in the reasonable opinion of
is in breach of the T&Cs;
contains any content that is offensive, harmful, objectionable, defamatory, profane, inappropriate or which is
otherwise unsuitable for publication including with respect to race, religion, origin or gender, or which could
reflect negatively upon the name, reputation or goodwill of the Sponsor or any other brand;
contains or refers to any unauthorised third-party brand or reference any third-party names, logos and/or trademarks;
promotes any political agenda.
WINNERS LIST: Provided no objection is received from the winners, a winner list
containing the surname and county of residence of the winners will be made available by the Sponsor within four (4) weeks
after the close of the Contest Period, for a period of eight (8) weeks. It will be available at
http://smsng.co/ISOCELLxGalaxy. Winners can object to their details being published during the winner notification process.
Without prejudice, the Sponsor may provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority or any other relevant
authority when requested by them.
TAX: In the event that the winner is a US resident, the winner will be required to
complete and return an IRS Form W-9 and furnish his or her social security number that will be used only for the purpose of
reporting the winner’s Prize earnings to the Internal Revenue Service, as required by law.
The Sponsor may offer the winners an opportunity to participate in promotional event(s) arising from the Contest.
Participation is at the winner’s discretion and is not a condition of Prize acceptance.
The Sponsor seeks to run a fair and secure promotion and prevent abuse and cheating. If you enter in a way that is not
consistent with these T & Cs, your Entry (and any of your associated aliases) will be disqualified. Any Prize awarded may
be void and recoverable, and the Sponsor reserves the right to bar you from entering future promotions for a period of at
least six (6) months. For this reason, the Sponsor reserves the right at any point to:
Verify the eligibility of Entrants and/or provisional winners through multiple means by requesting such information it
consider reasonably necessary for this purpose. Entry or a Prize may be withheld until verification is completed.
Disqualify Entries that are not made directly by the individual entering the Contest.
Disqualify Entries made using anonymous email services such as, but not limited to, GuerillaMail, Dispostable or
Disqualify bulk Entries from individuals, trade, consumer groups or third parties, incomplete Entries and Entries
submitted by macros or other automated means.
Disqualify Entries beyond the maximum allowed, or those using techniques such as ‘script’, ‘brute force’, multiple SIM
cards for text entries, masking identity by manipulating IP addresses, using aliases or identities other than their
own or any other means.
Disqualify Entries which, in some other way, do not meet the requirements of these T & C.
Disqualify entries which, in some other way, do not meet the requirements of these Terms & Conditions.
Cancel, modify or suspend the Contest should it not be capable of running as planned for reasons including but not
limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, dishonesty, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the
control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of

If for any reason the Prize is not available, the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion to substitute that Prize
for another of equal or greater value.
Sponsor shall not be responsible for Entries which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which
cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
The Sponsor does not guarantee continuous or secure access to Instagram.
This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram. By entering Entrants are
providing their information to the Sponsor and not to Instagram, and Instagram is not responsible for any element of this
The Sponsor and its associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect,
special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising
from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Contest (JS13649) or accepting or using the Prize, except for any
liability which cannot be excluded by law. Nothing will exclude the Sponsor’s liability for death or personal injury as a
result of its negligence.
The Sponsor will not be liable for any delay or failure to comply with its obligations for reasons beyond its reasonable
control arising from but not limited to Acts of God, global or regional epidemic or pandemic, adverse weather conditions,
fire, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, plague or other
natural calamities, or any other circumstances.
All personal data supplied for this Contest will be used for the purpose of this Contest and for research and analytical
purposes by the Sponsor and/or by any agent appointed by it to assist with running the Contest and will not be disclosed to an
unconnected third party unless Entrant’s written consent has been obtained. Entrant’s personal data will be handled in
If any part/s of these T&Cs are legally ruled to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remainder will not be affected
and will continue in full force and effect.
By entering, Entrants agree to be bound by these T&Cs.
If there is a discrepancy between these T&Cs and those in any promotional material, these T&Cs will prevail.
These T&Cs shall be governed by the law of the relevant country for each Entrant. All disputes, controversies or claims
between the parties arising out of or in connection with this Contest (including its existence, validity or termination) shall
be finally resolved by arbitration and conducted in English under the Rules of Arbitration of the International Chamber of
Commerce; provided, however, that each party may bring any legal, administrative or regulatory proceeding in any competent
jurisdiction anywhere in the world with regard to patent rights. The arbitral award shall be final and binding on the parties.
Except to the extent entry of judgment and any subsequent enforcement may require disclosure, all matters relating to the
arbitration, including the award, shall be held in confidence.
